different, but mostly the same

Lately I've been thinking a lot about why I blog. Mostly, I blog for myself. I like that it's an ongoing journal of whatever is happening in my life. It's a record keeper of my thoughts, our photos, my goals, and other things.

And a few weeks ago, my husband said something that really made me think. "I'm not going to look at your blog anymore. It's just pictures of what you're wearing."

In my defense, it was during Fall Fashion Week. So yes, every post that week was a "what I wore" post.

But then I considered his comment. And honestly, that's not why I started blogging. And it's certainly not what I want my blogging to be defined by.

So needless to say, I'm going to be making some slight changes around here. Nothing major. Just fewer "what we wore" posts and more posts from my heart. I want this place to be more of a journal of what I'm witnessing around me, how the Lord is changing me, and the going-ons of my adorable little family.

I hope you don't mind. But like I said, I blog for me. And anyone who wants to follow along is more than welcome and always appreciated!

  1. As much as I enjoy seeing pictures in the blogs I follow, I really love introspective posts that give me a view into other people's feelings and worlds. It keeps us connected together as a global community! Well said.
