inside our home: nursery tour

You can see Isaac's nursery in our old apartment here.

We moved into our new place over the summer and I think I've finally finished his nursery here:
I saw this at a garage sale and had to have it. I had no idea what I would do with it when I got it home. We hot glued the ribbon to the back of it and stapled-gunned the ribbon onto the top of the door. The bottom is also velcroed (is that a word?) to the door does it doesn't flop around and bang up the door.
Isaac has a zillion blankets. This isn't even all of them. There's a whole other pile in his closet! These were mostly made for him or given to him. Someone told me early on, "don't buy blankets for him because he will get plenty". Whoever that was, you were right!

I have them all stacked on an old wooden, red chair I found while thrifting. It was $3. It probably isn't safe to sit on because it's falling apart. But, it works perfectly as a blanket holder.
This is the picture collage above his crib. I got the idea here. All pictures are thrifted and so is the boat steering wheel which we stained and added the rope to. I got the idea for that here. Whenever I was out thrifting I had my eyes open for fun nautical pictures. It all started with the round painting in the middle and I just went from there!
My mom made all of Isaac's bedding: bumpers, crib sheet, pillows. I could not find any nautical themed bedding that I liked. And most of it was way more than I was willing to spend anyway. I think she found this fabric at Hancock and paired it with blue. It's perfect.
