the easiest DIY ever

You may have noticed in some previous pictures of Isaac's room that I had three pictures hanging above his dresser. Let me tell you how I made them (well not made, put together?)
I found this post a while back with the idea to simply frame scrapbook paper. Oh. my. gosh. How simple is that? And super adorable too. My mom had even suggested using the idea as a headboard (which I also like). So, when I knew I needed something for that wall, we decided to try out this super easy DIY, using the nautical theme of course.

Supplies needed:

*12x12 frames (as many as needed)
*12x12 scrapbook paper (as many as needed and in whatever design or color matches the room) *as much creativity as you'd like
All you do is put the scrapbook paper in the frames and hang them. Wow, that was easy right? And it turns out so cute!

Of course you can get as fancy as you want with the frames. You could even use old frames and paint them, use mismatched frames or use ones that are too big and insert a matting around the scrapbook paper.

Here is where I hung that picture.. although I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it there:
Here is the entire wall above his pack n play (and where the crib will go):

  1. I love the area above crib! How high is everything hanging?? Just a though since one day he may be able to reach it! Jonathan tries to get at his stuff now cuz he wants to ask me what it is!

  2. So cute! Love the steering wheel (wait is that what they call it on a boat??)
Apparently I'm in a copy cat mood tonight because I LOVE this idea for a headboard.
